The Stone Cast, The Ripple Made project:

goal was to create a track playing with
the concepts of segments and time. 

created with Kim Cascone's
Kim1.aif (a mono file, 1 of 7 provided by Kim)

kim1.aif was made stereo and then 
divided into 7 segments so that each
was less than 1 second in length

result was manipulated over the course of 7 tracks

final length = 4:28.571 seconds

60 (representing seconds in a minute)
divided by 7 (representing the 7 sections)
divided by 2 (representing the 2 channels of stereo)
equals 4.28571
